Great White Shark

Anyone seen these?

I'm not usually one for colorized items but this is just nifty. The whole package makes for a nice presentation. The link below shows the the box, etc.

I think I'm going to get this for my son's birthday present. (Like a lot of boys, he's fascinated by sharks.)

My mother told me to keep my mouth shut unless I have something nice to say......

....doesn't mean I listened to her. That is one seriously ugly coin.:signs14:

I hope a lot of other folks feel like you do. Then maybe I can get one for a more reasonable price :s9:

Sorry - I think that coin is hideous too, even though the Perth Mint usually makes some really nice stuff. I saw a pic of a really cool, uncolorized, silver, proof-looking coin with two circling white sharks on another site but never found out what it was.

AND that one is REALLY expensive.

I'm not excited by it nor turned off by the coin.

I think it's a great gift for a boy that is interested in sharks.

It's like sneaking silver into his world... a silver coin in sharks clothing.

I say go for it and I think he will like it.

Right, don't invest his college fund in them..... but he will only be a kid once.

Yah! Liike Fiat Mutiny said....

The point is to use the shark as a means to pique his interest in coins.

I give my kids a SAE when they lose teeth. They've began to equate the tooth fairy as the silver fairy. They have a mini-hoard and are learning how to save. Everyone needs a 'show piece' and I really think the boy would like it. Actually, he'd prefer a T-Rex but the Perth mint doesn't have one in their dino series.

Prices are a tad too high from the Perth Mint, AU. :banghead:

Pretty coins though. :applause_ :applause_ :applause_

If you were to scratch the painting off of the coin, you might be able to get almost spot from a smelter. Yikes, I can't believe they minted that coin.

You know what Blorp....I changed my tune. That coin would be cool for a kid into sharks. :D

I was into sharks as a kid. I would have loved it. I say, get it for your son. It will feed his interest in sharks and, perhaps, get him interested in coins.
